wildly, i found you, Ashley, in the comments on Liz and Elise's columns... then subscribed to read you, then realized Maryam is hosting me to teach a virtual class soon... you're both so wise. here's to spiritual literacy and more shared spaces. here's to your generous work with patients, Maryam. can't wait to meet you both someday.

Hi Elena! 👋🏻 So funny how you stumbled across this—what synchronicity. Yes, to spiritual literacy, collaboration, and shared spaces. I actually have met you very briefly once before a long time ago. I was on your downline back in the Pangea Organics days and I think I might have had a call with you once, lol. Though I live in Northern Virginia now, my early yoga days were all in Boulder and I've been around the fringes of the yoga scene for about a decade. I also used to take your classes on Yoga Glo all the time! Always appreciated your softer approach. I've got your virtual class at Beloved on my calendar and can't wait to take it! I'm putting you on my list of people to interview for this series!

Thank you both, so many seeds for further thoughts and pearls of wisdom. I saved that post as I intend to come back to it and re-read it. It was very interesting to read about Maryam's experiences of working with cancer patients using the wisdom of yoga practice. From my personal and professional experience, I can definitely second the depth of the notion that "Cancer is a word that inherently has trauma".

Thanks for saving! I've re-read it so many times myself and each time something new jumps out. Can't wait to share more interviews soon! They're all so good (I think 😊).
